Effect: Hyundai's Car Sales Down 28% In The Month Of July 2020: The auto sector is
facing significant losses due to the Corona virus. Its effect is also seen on
the sales of car companies. Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has released its
July sales report. The company has reported that Hyundai's sales have fallen by
28 per cent in July 2020, where it sold 41,300 units. Hyundai Motor India sold
57,310 vehicles in July 2019. The company said in a statement on Saturday that
its sales in the Indian market have fallen by two per cent, where the company
has sold 38,200 units. In July 2019, the company sold 39,010 vehicles in the
domestic market.

During this period, the company's exports
have also been affected. The company lost 83% of its exports in July 2020,
where Hyundai's 3,100 units were sold outside India. In July 2019, the company
exported 18,300 vehicles.
Reacting to the sales, Tarun Garg, director
of sales, marketing and service, Hyundai Motor India, said that the company has
been successful in making some contribution to revive the country's economy. He
said that the new Creta SUV, Venue and new Verna and compact cars Elite i10 and
Neos were the main contributors to the company's sales in July 2020.
