Corona Vaccine: The world's eye on this vaccine being made in India, the heads of many countries and ministers are making calls
The
Serum Institute of India in Pune is named among the world's leading vaccine
manufacturers. The vaccine formulated with Oxford University has been named
Covishield in India by the company. This vaccine has been successful in the
first and second stage human trials. This is why the whole world is eyeing this
vaccine.
This
is the same vaccine, which has been successful in doing a double whammy against
the corona virus. During the trial, this vaccine has been able to produce both
antibodies and T-cells in the human body. T-cells help identify viruses and
antibodies fight viruses.

According
to the company's head Adar Poonawala, soon this vaccine is going to have a
human trial in the country. In the UK and other countries, the first and second
phase of this vaccine has been conducted in human trials, the positive results
of which have been published in the research journal. There will be a second
and third phase trial of this vaccine in India. Many countries are eyeing this
vaccine.
In
an interview to the New York Times, Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawalla has
said that the company is set to make 500 doses every minute with Oxford
scientists. He said, "I have received calls from heads of state,
presidents, prime ministers, and health ministers from all over the world.
Everyone is asking for the first batch of vaccines. I am constantly getting
calls. Many of them I do not even know. . "
Adar
Poonawala said that he is confident of the trial being successful, after which
the company will provide more than 500 million vaccines in India. Institutions
and companies producing the vaccine say that if the trial is successful, they
will need the factories of Serum Institute of India.
It
is known that the name of Serum Institute of India is counted among the world's
largest companies making vaccines. According to the company's claim, one and a
half billion doses of the second vaccine are produced here every year, which
are sent to poor countries. According to reports, half of the world's children
are vaccinated by the Serum Institute of India.
A
few days ago, the company had ordered 600 million glass-vials. Adar Poonawala
says that there is a lot of pressure on him. The first batch of vaccines is
being sought from many countries. However, he is trying his best to keep 50
percent dose in India and the remaining 50 percent in other countries.

A
Bloomberg report claimed that rich countries can get ahead in the race to get a
vaccine and poor countries can lag behind in it. The European Union is taking
aggressive steps to acquire the vaccine. Recently the UK and US and UK have
tied up with Sanofi and its partner GlaxoSmithKline plc for the supply of the
vaccine. On the other hand, there has also been a new partnership between Japan
and Pfizer Inc.
However,
Adar Poonawala has a different opinion on this issue. He says that our focus
will be on poor countries. He said that the process of making the vaccine has
been going on for six months and we want to end it soon. Adar expects 70–80 per
cent of the Oxford vaccine to be successful.
Its
major partner for the Oxford vaccine is the AstraZeneca company. It has signed
more than 7500 crores rupees for making vaccines in America, Europe and other
places. The Serum Institute will also produce the vaccine. But the difference
is that the company is taking full cost of production.
It
is to be noted that apart from COVAXIN manufactured by ICMR and Bharat Biotech
in India, there is also a human trial of Zydus Cadila vaccine. At the same
time, the vaccine developed by Oxford University of Britain is also going to be
produced here. In such a situation, there is nothing to worry about the
availability of vaccine in India. If all goes well, the Corona vaccine will
soon be available for common people in India.
